Fire Place in Progress

One of the best parts of landscape design is seeing a vision come to life. Here is a really cool fireplace design that we planned using 3D design software and a few progress images. We will complete the fireplace any day now. This is definitely the focal point of this yard.

What is Tuscan Landscape?

Native Plants – Ceanothus and Mimulus

It may be a little early, but the native lilacs are in bloom. If you look across the mountains and hillsides, you may see a blue backdrop. It is the blooming of the Ceanothus or California lilac. They will be in bloom for a few months.

The monkey flower, Mimulus, is another great flowering perenial that is in full bloom right now. There are a few local varieties that can easily be spotted in the hills and canyons around the county.

There are many different native varieties of both the Ceanothus and the Mimulus that do extremely well in landscape situation as well. Anything from a low ground cover to large shrubs. The key is not to give them too much water in the summer time.
